Job summary

Otsego Public Schools in Otsego, MI is seeking a Recess Aide for Alamo Elementary, Monday–Friday, 6 hours per day. The role supports a positive, safe school environment and supervises students during meals and on the playground.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a love for kids. The starting date is for the 2026-27 school year with a wage at minimum wage; letters of application and resumes should be sent to Amber Neal at Otsego Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with the other adults in the building toward a positive, productive school environment
• Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals
• Informs administration of any serious infraction of discipline rules by students.
• Supervises students on the playground and ensures students are being safe and following rules.
• Administers minor first aid, cares for sick children and informs office staff / teachers as needed
• Escort and supervise individual students and / or groups of students both in and outside the building, as needed, including students sent to the office
• Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
