Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking a detail-oriented Recertification & Occupancy Specialist in Los Angeles, CA. You will manage the recertification process, determine eligibility for continued occupancy, and ensure accurate income/asset calculations in compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and HPD guidelines.

You will maintain EIV binders, generate reports, and collaborate with property teams to address resident concerns.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to complete recertification accurately and within established timeframes.
Familiarity with HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies and procedures.
COS certification required; Notary Public certification preferred.
Leasing license or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and training on compliance processes and best practices.
Maintain and update EIV binders; generate monthly/quarterly EIV reports.
Monitor adherence to LIHTC and HUD regulations; prepare audits and compliance docs.
Determine tenant rents for annual/interim recertifications.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions for housing policy compliance.
Collaborate with property management on resident recertification concerns.
Ensure timely submission of forms and documentation.
Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications per HUD and HPD guidelines.
