Job Overview – Receptionist (Temporary):

Step into a Receptionist role with our client in New York, NY, serving as the first point of contact, managing front desk operations, and creating a welcoming experience for visitors. This temporary role demands strong organizational and interpersonal skills to support office operations and engage with high-profile guests.

Compensation: $25/hour

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Receptionist:

  • Front Desk: Oversee the front desk, greeting visitors and ensuring a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Guest Coordination: Register guests at security and direct them to the appropriate contacts.
  • Oversight: Schedule and maintain conference rooms for meetings.
  • Vendor Handling: Answer phones, manage office vendor relationships, and address building management issues as needed.
  • Support: Maintain common areas, including stocking the kitchen and coordinating with facilities for office upkeep.

Qualifications for the Receptionist:

  • Education: Recent graduate with administrative skills or relevant internship experience.
  • Experience: 1 year in a Front Desk or Administrative role, ideally in a corporate setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Attributes: Outgoing, sharp, and presentable, with the maturity to interact with investors and high-profile visitors.
