Job summary

Atlantic-Medical-Imaging is seeking a Per Diem Receptionist-Technical Aide to join our north region offices in Brick, Wall, and Toms River. The role supports a growing outpatient radiology practice and offers 401K retirement benefits for per diem employees.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling, data entry, basic clerical work, patient transport, and assisting technologists with imaging preparation while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AHA or Red Cross BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• Experience in a Radiology practice, medical office or hospital preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors promptly in a courteous, professional manner.
• Answers incoming calls and routes them to the appropriate party.
• Maintains surveillance of patients and visitors in the waiting area.
• Schedules appointments and inputs information into the computer system.
• Performs clerical duties to maintain all records for the practice.
• Prepares charts and registers patients, takes histories and processes paperwork.
• Monitors patients in the clinical area and assists technologists with preparation and positioning.
• Assists patients with wheelchairs and dressing as needed and ensures infection control.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of AMI suites and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

AMI is seeking a Per Diem Receptionist-Technical Aide to join the teams in AMI's north region of offices in Brick, Wall, and Toms River! This position is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice.

AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience.

The Receptionist-Technical Aide is responsible for but not limited to:

The Receptionist-Technical Aide is responsible for but not limited to:

• Greets patients and visitors promptly upon arrival in a courteous, compassionate, and professional manner, escorting patients to the changing area and providing gown instructions as needed.
• Answers incoming telephone calls, makes satisfactory disposition of the calls or transfers to appropriate party.
• Maintains surveillance of all patients and visitors in the waiting area.
• Schedules appointments, obtains necessary information to input computer data.
• Performs clerical functions necessary to process and maintain all records associated with the Practice, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares charts and registers patients.
• Takes patient history and processes paperwork.
• Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the technologist is elsewhere.
• Assist technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and wheelchair transport to ensure timely and safe imaging procedures.
• Assists patients with wheelchairs and dressing as needed.
• Prepare imaging rooms between patients, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of AMI suites, including equipment and supply areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The per diem position will provide as needed coverage in Toms River, Brick, and Wall.

Coverage opportunities include:

Monday-Friday, with varying shifts between 6:30am-11pm Saturdays, with varying shifts between 7am-4pm

Schedules and locations are subject to change based on office needs.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. An American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days following the start of employment. Previous experience in a Radiology practice, medical office or hospital is strongly preferred. Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with standard office equipment is required.

Qualified candidates demonstrate excellent customer service practicesand have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Candidates must be willing to work in Receptionist and Technical Aide capacities, and be able to safely work in an MR Zone/Magnetic field.
