Job summary

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a per diem Radiologist Assistant to join the team at the Corporate Office in West Atlantic City, NJ for as-needed coverage. You will support radiologists with image reading, urgent findings communications, and ensure timely completion of reports while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

The role offers a 401K retirement benefit for Per Diem employees with pay rates increasing with experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework a plus.
• Prior radiology or medical setting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with standard office equipment.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily batch image reading support for all modalities as directed by Radiologists.
• Manages urgent findings communications under Radiologist guidance.
• Ensures timely completion and submission of Radiologist Peer Cards for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
• Supports efficient and timely delivery of imaging for complete interpretation.
• Communicates with necessary contacts to obtain outstanding reports and imaging.
• Ensures Radiologist has prior mammography images, reports, and available pathology for comparison.
• Organizes and manages batch sessions for radiology readouts.
• Manages scheduling for all callback patients to ensure timely follow-up.
• Completes chart prep for future appointments by obtaining imaging, reports, and any pathology.

NJ for as-needed coverage. The Radiologist Assistant is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Performs daily batch image reading support for all modalities as directed by the Radiologists.
• Manages urgentfindingscommunications under Radiologist guidance.
• Ensurestimelycompletion and submission of Radiologist Peer Cards for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
• Supports efficient andtimelydelivery of imaging tofacilitatecomplete interpretation.
• Communicateswith all necessary contacts to obtain outstanding reports andimaging.
• Ensures the Radiologisthas prior mammography images, reports, and available pathology for comparison with the current study.
• Organizes and manages batch sessions for radiology readouts.

• Ensures completion of final reports for all exams through thorough review.
• Uploads outside imaging.
• Manages thereferrals-linecalls for referrer’s concerns, including addendum requests and other inquiries.
• Ensures that all studies marked as “Awaiting Dictation” in the PACS worklist are promptly addressed.
• Maintains patient information confidentiality andcomplies withHIPAA regulations.
• Performs otherduties asassigned.

This is a per diem (PRN) position based in the Corporate Office in West Atlantic City/Pleasantville, NJ. As-needed coverage opportunities are available between 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

QualificationsCandidates must have aHigh School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework a plus. Previous experience in a radiology practice, or medical setting, and athorough understanding of anatomy, is preferred. Candidates must have intermediate computer skills and proficiency with standard office equipment. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills with the ability to problem-solve & work effectively with minimal supervision. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidates must demonstrate anunderstanding of the importance of providing exceptional customers service to patients.
