Job summary

McFarland Clinic is accepting applications for a Float Receptionist at its Marshalltown locations. This part-time role requires a service-oriented approach, teamwork, and a commitment to providing extraordinary care to our patients.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and guiding visitors in line with our core values. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with medical terminology training within a year preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
• Completion of Medical Terminology class required within one year of employment.
• Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Receptionist experience preferred but not required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reception desk activities, including greeting patients and directing visitors.
• Schedule appointments and instruct patients and visitors as needed.

Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for a Float Receptionist for its Marshalltown clinic locations. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: maintaining reception desk activities, including greeting, scheduling, and instructing of patients and visitors in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Core Values and Promise.

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.

Days: Monday - Friday.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience

• Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Keyboard and computer experience.
• Completion of Medical Terminology class required within one year of employment.
• Receptionist experience preferred but not required.
