Job summary

Rivendell Behavioral Health Services, an 80-bed behavioral health facility in Benton, AR, is seeking a Receptionist (PRN) to welcome guests, answer calls, and support admissions.

This role requires compassion, calm under pressure, and good typing, with at least 6 months of customer service experience; training is provided. Nights, weekends, and days are included as PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or GED achieved.
• At least 6 months of reception or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to type 40 WPM or better and strong basic office skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests and respond to their needs.
• Provide coverage for the switchboard and route calls to staff.
• Enforce Covid protocols for patient and staff safety.
• Assist admissions with initial paperwork and ID verification.
• Coordinate visitor flow and manage family visitations.

The Receptionist has one of the most important roles in our facility. Duties and responsibilities of a Receptionist may include but are not limited to:

• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and “Service Excellence” skills.
• Prefer candidate with at least 6 months of Receptionist experience or similar customer service experience.
• Person will be responsible for greeting and welcoming all guests and responding to their needs.
• Provide coverage for the switchboard which involves answering the hospital’s incoming telephone calls and routing them to the appropriate staff.
• Responsible for enforcing all Covid protocols that have been put in place for protection of our patients & staff.
• Distributing initial paperwork to admissions for Assessment Department including Check Sheets.
• Notifying Nursing Dept. of Discharges and checking required ID of family member that is picking up the patient.
• Maintain proper procedure for accepting patient clothing.
• Responsible for coordinating and serving as the gatekeeper for our Visitors and during Family Visitations.
• This role will require at least 6 hrs. of training depending on employee’s level of experience. Training may be done in two-three-hour increments.

Qualifications

A minimum of a high school education or GED. Must have prior switchboard experience. Must be able to type 40 WPM or better. Requires a knowledge of genral office and phone skills as well as excellent organization and writtent communication skills. Must have legible handwriting.
