Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Woodland Springs location seeks a Front Desk Receptionist to greet patients, manage check-in/out, and coordinate front office activities. You will handle demographics, insurance details, copays, and referrals in a busy behavioral health setting.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure while supporting a compassionate care team in a community hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Medical front office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.
• Coordinates work flow and maintains records of office activities.
• Completes all aspects of check-in/check-out process.
• Enters and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collects copay/coinsurance balances for current visit and outstanding balances.
• Prepares for appointments and checklists.
• Handles front office calls, messages, and routing of inquiries.
• Keeps the office area neat and tidy.
• Monitors office supplies and front desk tasks.
• Processes information requests and responds to work requests.
• Schedules referrals to other physicians/specialists and notifies patients.
• Performs other delegated tasks from leads or managers.

How you'll contribute

A Receptionist who excels in this role:

• Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.

• Coordinates work flow and complies records of office activities.

• Completes all aspects of check-in/check‑out process.

• Enters and updates patient demographics and insurance information.

• Collects any copay/coinsurance balances for current visit and any outstanding balance from patients.

• Complete pre‑appointment checklists and prepares accordingly.

• Places, answers, and directs phone calls and distributes messages. Including retrieval and distribution of answering service messages.

• Keeps office area neat and tidy.

• Monitors and maintains log of needed office supplies.

• Handles information requests, including reviewing files and records, answering inquiries, and responding to incoming work requests.

• Monitors and addresses all front office task buckets in a timely manner.

• Schedule referrals for patients to be seen by other physicians/specialists as ordered. Send all records needed and notify patient as needed.

• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers and Market director.
