Pet Foodie LA in Santa Monica is seeking a part-time Receptionist to run our front desk. You’re the first face every client and every dog sees, delivering a warm, polished high-end experience while keeping the salon running on time.

No prior salon experience required—we’ll train you. If you love dogs, have high energy, and enjoy organizing schedules, you’ll thrive here. You’ll manage check-ins, bookings, payments, and help clients pick treats and toys.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their dogs; handle check-in and check-out.
• Take detailed grooming notes and special instructions at drop-off and ensure they reach the groomer.
• Be the link between groomers and clients — relay updates, send pickup texts, answer questions.
• Keep client and pet records accurate in our salon software (we'll train you).
• Answer phones, texts, and emails; book, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Process payments and tips at pickup.
• Collect and track vaccination records.
• Keep the lobby and front desk clean and stocked.

Pet Foodie LA is a luxury dog grooming salon in Santa Monica, and we\u2019re hiring a part-time Receptionist to run our front desk. You\u2019re the first face every client and every dog sees — the person who makes a nervous first-timer feel at home and keeps the whole salon running on time.

No reception or salon experience needed. We\u2019ll train you on everything. What we can\u2019t teach: a real love of dogs, high energy, and a warm, polished presence.

What you\u2019ll do

• Welcome clients and their dogs; handle check-in and check-out


• Take detailed grooming notes and special instructions at drop-off and make sure they reach the groomer


• Be the link between groomers and clients — relay updates, send pickup texts, answer questions


• Keep client and pet records accurate in our salon software (we\u2019ll train you)


• Answer phones, texts, and emails; book, confirm, and reschedule appointments


• Process payments and tips at pickup


• Collect and track vaccination records


• Keep the lobby and front desk clean, stocked, and looking sharp


• Help clients pick the perfect treat, toy, or leash from our small curated selection


• Pitch in wherever the day needs you

Who you are

• A dog person — comfortable and confident around dogs of every size and temperament, including the loud ones


• Energetic, upbeat, and warm; people light up when they talk to you


• Polished and professional in how you present yourself — our clients expect a high-end experience and you set the tone


• Organized and detail-obsessed; a missed note at the desk becomes a bad haircut on the table


• A clear communicator in person, on the phone, and in writing


• Reliable — on time, every time


• Comfortable with technology and quick to pick up new software


• Available Saturdays (our busiest day)


• On your feet most of the shift; able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally


• 18 or older
