Job summary

North Hill Needham Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual for a guest services position. You will be responsible for greeting, assisting, and providing direction to Residents and visitors. Strong communication skills and a high school diploma are essential.

Position Summary

For over 40 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65+ by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. This position is responsible for greeting, assisting and providing direction to all Residents, guests, Team Members and visitors to North Hill.

Shifts

• Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
• Wednesday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Specific Duties

• Greets all Residents, Team Members, and guests in a professional manner and directs to the appropriate location, serving as the initial contact and resource for the community
• Answers incoming telephone calls in a cheerful manner, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
• Performs all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude
• Receives inquiries and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Assists with screening and registering visitors to the community
• Notifies appropriate personnel if suspicious behavior is observed
• Assists with the processing of work‑orders for Residents, ensuring that the information is communicated to correct department
• Maintains Campus Calendar Production and Distribution
• Maintains and sorts assigned mail for the mailroom
• Supports guest room reservation system and check‑ins
• Assists with scheduling Resident transportation to include doctor’s visits and events
• Delivers a memorable first impression of hospitality
• Maintains a high‑level of communication and feedback to ensure all information is passed on in a timely manner
• Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor
• Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements
• Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in guests services preferred
• Strong communication skills with an outgoing personality and willingness to engage with Residents

Satisfactory completion of a background investigation is required for this position.

Pay Range

$20/hour. Individual compensation within this range is based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including education, overall experience, relevant experience, and specific skills.
