Williamson Health is seeking a Receptionist for the Downs Blvd location. This full-time daytime role supports Hospital Medical Services by scheduling patient appointments, managing records, and delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • At least one year of medical office experience and ability to communicate well
  • Competent in the use of computers, printers, facsimile machines, copy machines, business phones, document scanners and other office equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English, both verbally and in written form, squat, reach overhead, and operate a computer/keyboard and heard instruction as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules appointments appropriately in Allscripts
  • Provides simple medical advice under the direction of the physician
  • Provides patients with info on HIPPA and insures compliance
  • Insures patients are informed of changes in office policies
  • Follows proper lifting techniques to prevent back injury
  • Consistently verifies patient insurance information
  • Consistently verifies insurance for eligibility and precertification if need
  • Maintains open line of communication with all staff
  • Answers phones politely and within 4 rings
