The New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) provides social services and economic assistance to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency through various programs such as Cash Assistance, SNAP, childcare, eviction prevention, adult protective services, job training, employment support, domestic violence assistance, and child support enforcement. Employees in Employment & Support Services Administration- Career Services provide tailored services to eligible New Yorkers to promote long-term self-sufficiency.
Business Link, a division of HRA, connects employers with job seekers, offers free job placement services, hosts job fairs, maintains a job seeker database, and provides alerts via the TEXT2Work program. It works closely with the community and employers to fill job orders, provide subsidized training, and support employment for low-income individuals and Cash Assistance recipients.
The Career Services is recruiting for one (1) Clerical Associate II position as a Receptionist/Data Entry Clerk. Under supervision, the role involves clerical duties, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and interacting with clients over the phone and in person to facilitate access to Business Link services.
Correct Salary Range: $36,971 - $42,517
Work Location: 123 William Street, New York, NY 10038
Hours/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (Flex)
Qualification Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of clerical experience.
Skills Requirement: Keyboard proficiency with a minimum of 100 keystrokes per minute.
