Job summary

Lakeville South High School is seeking a Receptionist-Building Support to serve as the first contact for visitors and to help maintain building security and daily operations.

The role supports administrators, assists with study halls and disciplinary procedures, and handles attendance tasks, copying, and general clerical duties while working closely with students, staff and families.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • PC & Mac Knowledge; proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to support staff and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first contact for visitors and support building security.

8 hours per day, 40 hours per week – 174 days per year

Start and end times: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Position begins 09/28/2026

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to be the first contact person for all visitors to the high school. The Receptionist/Building Support staff assists administrators by enforcing the security of the building and personnel. Support Staff assists with study halls, in-school suspension, and detention. Building Support staff will also monitor student behavior in school, hallways and parking lots. Collaborates with other team members/staff and works well with high school students. This position is also responsible for all attendance procedures in the building by working directly and indirectly with students, staff and parents. This position also supports the staff ad administration with all copying needs.

Position Requirements:

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. PC & Mac Knowledge.

3. Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with the following programs: Excel; Word; and Powerpoint.

4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

5. Excellent oral and written communication, proofreading and organizational skills.
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
7. Performs general clerical duties and record-keeping tasks as requested by the Principal.

Salary and benefits in accord with the Agreement with the Lakeville Educational Assistants Federation.
Position classified LEAF B-2-1, starting salary $19.85- $24.05per hour depending on experience
