Job description

Security-Building Support

Lakeville South High School

7.50 hours per day, 37.50 hours per week – 174 days per year.

Start and end times: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Position begins 09/8/2026.

Position Summary

The Security/Building Support staff assists administrators by enforcing the security of the building and personnel, monitors student behavior in school, hallways and parking lots and assists with study halls, in‑school suspension, and detention. Collaborates with other team members/staff and works well with high school students. This position is also responsible for all attendance procedures in the building by working directly and indirectly with students, staff, and parents while building and maintaining relationships modeling the CougarWay. This position also supports the staff and administration with all copying needs.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • PC & Mac knowledge.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with the following programs: Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, noisy environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, proofreading and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Performs general clerical duties and record‑keeping tasks as requested by the Principal.

Salary and benefits in accord with the Agreement with the Lakeville Educational Assistants Federation.

Position classified LEAF B-2-1, starting salary $19.85–$24.05 per hour depending on experience.
