Job summary

Consultants for Children, Inc. (CFCI) in Colorado is hiring a Receptionist & Behavior Technician (BT) for an in-person, full-time role Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, supporting children with autism and families.

This position blends front-desk coordination with direct client interaction and clinical team support. You will manage scheduling, intake, and records, maintain HIPAA-compliant systems, and assist with outreach and community relationships.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Driver's license required for occasional driving of company vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Patience, energy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Availability full-time Monday-Friday.

Position Summary

As a Receptionist & Behavior Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations while also supporting our clinical team. In this role, you’ll interact with clients, families, and staff, help with staff scheduling, maintain strong community relationships, assist with local outreach, and work directly with our clients when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks
  • Communication & Team Support
    • Maintain clear, professional, and effective communication with staff, families, and stakeholders.
    • Actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and confirm understanding.
    • Respond to emails within 2 business days and voicemails within 1 business day.
    • Ensure clinical staff have what they need in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling
    • Manage clinical schedules and ensure completion by mid-week for the following week.
    • Coordinate staffing for new clients in collaboration with HR and operations.
    • Assist with client intake by collecting and entering required documentation.
    • Support team members to shorten the time from initial inquiry to service start.
    • Help improve utilization rates on a monthly basis.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Maintain accurate client records and update internal systems.
    • Ensure HIPAA compliance and report any concerns as a Mandatory Reporter.
    • Address and elevate complaints appropriately.
    • Keep the branch organized, clean, and running efficiently.
    • Drive the company vehicle when necessary for transport or supply runs.
  • Office & Relationship Management
    • Serve as a key contact for families, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
    • Attend required meetings and support local outreach efforts.
    • Manage office supplies, mail sorting, and company vehicle coordination.
  • Clinical Support
    • Build positive relationships with children and caregivers.
    • Participate in trainings and staff meetings as required.
    • Become and work as an RBT as needed, with all training provided by CFCI.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Driver's license required for occasional driving of company vehicle
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Patience, energy, and a genuine interest in working with children
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Availability full-time Monday-Friday
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively participate in play (running, crawling kneeling, standing)
  • Adherence to RBT Ethics Code and company policies
  • Clean background check and positive professional references
Pay Range

$19.50 - $23.00 per hour, depending on years of experience. Increase earned once you obtain your RBT credential.
