Role

Clifford Chance is seeking a full-time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all visitors and clients in the Washington, DC office. The Receptionist will be responsible for providing a high level of client service to both internal and external clients. The role will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. This position will report to the Office Administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors, clients, and colleagues with great professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Answer incoming calls, route calls to the appropriate colleague, and handle inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist the Conference Services Coordinator in the coordination of booking meetings and visitor offices.
  • Assist Conference Services Coordinator with catering orders and in-office events, as needed.
  • Provide a high-level of client service in all activities, including demonstrating a standard of excellence with all client interactions.
  • Inform the building of any office maintenance issues.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support.
  • Provide concierge level assistance to all external guests and internal stakeholders.
  • Update office concierge guides and keep relationships with local restaurants, vendors, venues, etc.
  • Stay abreast of local DC events.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Office Administrator.
Qualifications

Your experience

  • 2-3 years of related front desk or reception experience in a law firm, professional services firm or hospitality setting.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Maintain a professional, presentable, and calm disposition.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, and collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Client-service-oriented with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment.
  • Must be highly motivated, dependable, and organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in office equipment/technology including Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to be on site five (5) days per week.
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as needed.
  • Must be independently and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $57,000 - $62,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate\'s qualifications and relevant experience.
