Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is hiring for an ambulatory care clerical role at the Pediatric Office location. The position handles clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions to support primary health care services for a large outpatient population.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of ambulatory care experience; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent; training in general medical office skills preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in ambulatory care; cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations acceptable.

JOB SUMMARY

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred. Previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred. Proficient and knowledgeable of medical terminology is preferred, but not required.


• Experience: One to two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience may include cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations.
