Job summary

The Ridge Behavioral Health System in Lexington, KY is seeking a friendly receptionist to manage front-desk duties, route calls and visitors, and assist with administrative tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Full-time, 8am–4pm, you will handle messages, follow emergency procedures, and support coordination with clinical teams while maintaining patient confidentiality and a welcoming environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
• One to two years prior experience preferred; first shift requires two years.
• Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Answers and directs all incoming calls. Signs in and checks out all visitors, patients and guests. Communicates with Assessment when clients are here for an assessment, when they begin and complete paperwork. Makes required copies, as needed. Posts all outgoing mail. Sorts incoming mail. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Receptionist Opportunity:

Full Time, 8am - 4pm

Job Duties include:

• Records and routes telephone and in-person messages accurately, completely and promptly.
• Follows correct procedures if callers or visitors display threatening or other potentially dangerous or disruptive behaviors.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s various emergency codes response procedures; calls codes on overhead speaker system correctly and audibly.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.

Experience

• One to two years prior experience preferred. The first shift receptionist must have two years of experience.

Other Skills

• Requires knowledge of general office and phone skills as well as excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have legible handwriting.
• The ability to handle confidential information and to maintain a pleasant and congenial attitude at all times.
