You will join The Ridge Behavioral Health System, providing essential psychiatric care in the Central Kentucky area. Responsibilities include facilitating group activities, monitoring patient safety, and intervention during crises.

Per Diem PRN Shifts
7am - 3pm
3pm - 11pm
11pm - 7am

*Must attend a two week paid hospital orientation from 8:00am-4:30pm M-F*

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110‑bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Mental Health Technicians provide routine non‑acute physical care for the patient as well as educational groups based on needs identified in the Master Treatment Plan.

Job Duties Include

• Facilitates group activities tailored to the appropriate topic, age, and level of understanding as approved by the Program Coordinator.
• Ensures patients are consistently monitored in the proper location for the duration of activities.
• Provides appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de‑escalation techniques to diffuse the situation, correctly prioritizing safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Must have clear communication / interaction skills and demonstrate competency in facilitating psycho‑education groups.
