Job summary

Spring Creek Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a part-time receptionist for weekend shifts ( Saturdays 3pm-11pm and Sundays 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am). Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering calls, directing inquiries, mail handling, and supporting administrative staff. You must have a high school diploma or GED and complete background checks and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, in person or on the phone, and direct inquiries.
• Operate multi-line phone system and direct callers to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide directions to visitors and residents and assist with information.
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and maintain route publications.
• Monitor visitor sign-in process and maintain reception area.
• Provide administrative support to Administrative staff and assist with accounts payable tasks.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and protect patient privacy.
• Maintain clean, organized reception and communicate needs across teams.

Requirements of the Receptionist:

• Long Term Care: 1 year (Preferred, but not required)
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is required.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Operate multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and to direct callers to
  appropriate personnel
• Provide directions and information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc
• Greet visitors and direct to appropriate office and/or resident room
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and maintain route publications
• Monitor visitor access and sign-in process.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Administrative staff.
• Must adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Supports Business Office Manager with tasks including, but not limited to, accounts payable, residents funds, filing, etc.
