Job summary

Ciena Healthcare seeks a Receptionist to greet visitors, answer phones, and provide clerical support within Autumnwood of Deckerville. The role requires maintaining patient listings, directing callers, and ensuring sign-in procedures for vendors and residents are followed.

• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and direct incoming calls.
• Greet and direct visitors and family members.
• Maintain current patient listing to direct visitors and phone calls.
• Direct walk-in applicants to electronic application process.
• Organize work to be addressed by receptionist on other shifts.
• Ensure vendors and visitors sign in and out.
• Ensuring residents sign in and out of the facility as required per policy.
• Provide clerical support for the Administrator and other staff, as directed.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements.
• Announce emergency codes and instructions over public address system as required.
• Enter demographic information into the Electronic Medical Record, as directed by the Administrator.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Know of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility.
• Demonstrate respect for co-workers and respond to needs of residents by complying with facility policies.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
• Ability to carry out the essential functions of this job (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Assure participation in relevant in-service training sessions.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings, as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
