Responsibilities

The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.

The Receptionist welcomes patients and provides administrative support within a physician practice or healthcare center. You will report to the Center Administrator and serve as a key member of the front office team, ensuring exceptional patient service and efficient practice operations.

This may include the following responsibilities:

  • Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
  • Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.
  • Patient Records: Update patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.
  • Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.
  • Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.
  • Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.

Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.

Additional Information:

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$38,000 - $45,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
