Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado Springs is seeking a Receptionist at our St. Peregrine location to greet patients and manage front desk operations.

The role supports scheduling, registration, insurance verification and helping patients navigate visits with professionalism and compassion. The position offers a consistent schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computer systems required.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Obtain all appropriate forms as required.
  • Obtain demographic and insurance information; obtain copy of the patient’s insurance cards and current driver’s license for file.
  • Update demographic and insurance information as needed in the system.
  • Register all new patients into the system.
  • Notify nursing staff of patient arrivals, placing charts in appointment order.
  • Assist in preparing charts for next day’s appointments and print schedules as needed.
  • Collect co‑pays, deductible and other out‑of‑pocket amounts at time of visit; issue receipts if necessary.
  • Distribute condolence cards to patients’ families as requested.
  • Maintain lobby area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Identify no‑shows and forward for patient notification.
  • Demonstrate understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
  • Follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.
  • Cover other front office functions as requested.

Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist in Colorado Springs at our St. Peregrine location. We realize that it sounds cliché but it is true -- taking care of cancer patients is a calling. It’s much more than a job. Each of us has a unique story that brought us to Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC), but those stories usually share common themes of care, compassion, and commitment. No matter the role each RMCC team member serves in, the goal is the same: to provide the best care possible for each and every one of our patients. Whether we are a nurse holding our patient’s hand, or a scheduler on the phone finding an appointment that fits into a patient’s schedule, we are deeply connected to our patients and do what we can to help.

Salary Range: $18.00-$20.00.
