Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, is seeking a Receptionist to greet visitors, manage the switchboard, and handle mail and clerical tasks. The role supports admissions paperwork during after-hours shifts and maintains the receptionist schedule, offering back-up coverage as needed.

PRN Evening Hours (3:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) Monday–Friday are provided, with opportunities for growth and development within UHS and its subsidiaries. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience on a multi-line phone system, preferably in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
• Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends and/or flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all visitors, providing a welcoming and courteous reception.
• Answer the switchboard and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Document incoming deliveries and process mail and deliveries.
• Provide clerical support and assist with admissions paperwork during after-hours shifts as needed.
• Maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back-up as required.

Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing clerical support as requested. In addition, the Receptionist handles various clerical duties and projects as assigned and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned as well as maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.
