Job summary

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska in Anchorage is seeking a Reception Specialist to warmly welcome patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and assist with precertification and verification tasks. This full-time role supports the front desk and works closely with billing and clinical staff.

You'll handle insurance verification, explain coverage options, collect deposits and co-pays, and maintain accurate scheduling in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 is a plus.

Salary Range: $17.50-$27.00 hourly

Your Role at OPA:

As a Reception Specialist at OPA you will greatly contribute to the team by ensuring patient needs are being met by providing outstanding customer service. As part of this role you will answer patient calls, schedule patient appointments, and complete some precertification and verification tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service to all patients
• Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Educate patients on insurance coverage limits and options
• Work closely with the billing and other departments providing services
• Collect deposits and co-pays
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
