Job summary

Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic is seeking a Receptionist to handle routine patient encounters, schedule appointments and maintain orderly records. The role involves directing patients, discussing payments arrangements and performing daily cash deposits.

The ideal candidate will monitor the lobby and assist visitors as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 7 to 11 months of related experience and/or training.

• Manage all phases of the patient encounter as listed in the procedure manual; verify patient's name, address, phone number and health insurance coverage; direct patients to appropriate clinic locations as indicated by the schedule.

• Making daily deposits, for cash, checks and credit cards.
• Monitor the lobby area (straighten magazines, check cups and wipe down chairs) and be ready to assist if patients or visitors encounter difficulties.

The Receptionist performs various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees. Receptionist makes appointments for patients and maintains accurate and orderly schedules for physicians. The receptionist also performs other tasks as assigned such as float cashier.
