the Lawn & Sprinkler Center for flawless outdoor irrigation and landscape solutions; and the Grillin and Chillin Center stocked with premium BBQ grills and all the accessories for perfect backyard cookouts—Big Tool Box remains the go-to destination for contractors, gardeners, grill masters, and DIYers alike.Job SummaryServe as a key player in the Receiving and Warehouse team by accurately receiving product, operating forklifts, cleaning and staging freight, maintaining backroom organization, processing BOPUIS (Buy Online Pick-Up In Store) orders, executing the Sort & Segregate program, and completing all receiving paperwork and physical receiving tasks.Ensure every pallet is unloaded, counted, sorted, and put away perfectly so the sales floor never runs out and online customers get exactly what they ordered.Full-time early-morning role with forklift certification, RF scanner, and heavy emphasis on speed, accuracy, and cleanliness.Key ResponsibilitiesPhysical Receiving & Forklift WorkUnload trucks (Ace warehouse, UPS, FedEx, LTL, vendor-direct) using sit-down propane forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.Physically count every piece on high-value and random pallets; verify against BOL and ASN.Operate forklift to move, stack 3–4 high, and down-stack pallets safely; perform daily safety checks and battery swaps.Receiving Product & PaperworkScan and receive product: piece-by-piece or pallet scan, note shorts/damages, take photos, quarantine issues.Complete receiving paperwork: sign BOLs only after 100% verification, file packing slips, log temperature-controlled items.Flag OS&D immediately and stage for supervisor audit.Staging & Backroom OrganizationStage freight by department in clearly marked zones; condense partial pallets and eliminate clutter daily.Maintain 5S backroom standards: swept floors, labeled locations, no loose cardboard, everything in its velocity slot.Pull and stage BOPUIS orders within 15 minutes of notification; double-check SKU, quantity, and condition.BOPUIS (Buy Online Pick-Up In Store)Locate, pick, and stage BOPUIS holds accurately; label with customer name paperworkReturn expired or cancelled BOPUIS items to stock.Keep BOPUIS area secure, organized, and audit-ready.Sort & Segregate ProgramSeparate salvage, recyclable, hazardous waste, e-waste, and return-to-vendor items from regular freight.Correctly stage damaged/defective merchandise, cardboard, shrink wrap, and batteries in designated bins.Cleaning & SafetySweep dock and aisles after every truck; break down boxes, remove shrink wrap, keep dock doors clear.Clean up spills (oil, potting soil, paint) immediately with spill kits.Wear PPE (steel toes, gloves, high-vis); spot forklift operators and follow all dock safety rules.Required Qualifications and SkillsEducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Experience1+ years warehouse/receiving experience; forklift and RF scanner experience strongly preferred.Skills & AbilitiesAccuracy fanatic—counts every piece like it’s cash and never signs a BOL unless it’s perfect.Proficient with Ace Vision receiving, RF scanners, BOPUIS module, and basic paperwork.Safe, confident forklift operator (sit-down propane, reach truck experience a plus).Strong organizer who keeps the backroom looking like a showroom.Physical RequirementsLift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly (cases of paint, 80-lb bags of concrete, grills).Stand/walk full shift on concrete;
