Job summary

Deringer-Ney Inc. is seeking a Receiving/Warehouse Attendant in Bloomfield, CT. The role handles receipt, storage, and distribution of warehouse materials, requiring the ability to read bills of lading and purchase orders and to operate a forklift after training.

You will ensure accurate posting of receipts and orderly warehouse organization. Responsibilities include unloading, delivering goods within the plant, returning items to the correct departments, and supporting shipping with packaging.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and pallet jack training will be provided; licenses issued after training.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of lading and purchase orders.
• Experience in warehouse/inventory control is a plus; proficiency with Excel/Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret bills of lading and purchase orders.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Operate computer programs to generate receiving tickets and post receipt of requisitioned goods.
• Deliver received goods to destinations within the plant.
• Deliver customer returns to responsible departments.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly warehouse.
• Must be able to drive forklift – training will be provided.
