Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is hiring a Receiving Technician for our Port of Alexandria Facility to manage shipping, receiving, and warehousing of stock and in-process project inventory. The role reports to the Logistics Manager and emphasizes high quality and professionalism to ensure the product reaches the customer.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to read measuring devices, basic math, and experience with hand tools; forklift/lift equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Read and understand measuring devices such as tape measure, rules, and combination squares.
• Perform simple shop math (add/subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers).
• Experience applying simple hand tools such as wrenches, hammer, screw driver etc.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks related to Project Services operations, including unloading inbound trucks, receiving & inspecting materials, and packaging/shipping.
• Operates forklift and coordinates with project teams on inbound/outbound logistics.
• Attends safety meetings and maintains orderly facilities.
• Assist coordinators and managers with delivery of emergency products and quality improvements.
