Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklifts and support daily logistics operations. You will perform tasks with a safety mindset, protect confidential information, and follow SOPs while moving materials around the facility.

The role emphasizes quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma, 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, and familiarity with safety programs.

Qualifications

• Forklift license or ability to obtain license.
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with safety programs in manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks with a safety mindset and comply with company safety standards.
• Maintain and protect quality standards in all tasks.
• Protect confidential information and trade secrets.
• Follow SOPs or instructions from team leaders/management.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage for inventory using applicable tools and devices.
• Inspect contents against records to verify accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Read and interpret shipping/receiving labels and count products accurately.
• Move materials using fork trucks, pallets jacks, and other equipment.
• Communicate essential information to management and teammates by phone, email, or in person.
• Support and train new team members to improve knowledge and skills.
• Promote teamwork and mutual respect within the facility.
• Record production data as required by processes.
• Suggest improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings.

Salary Range: $19.55 hour

What you will do:

• Perform work tasks with a safety mindset in compliance with company safety standards. Protect themselves and co-workers from potentially hazardous work conditions. Alert leads and/or management about potential safety concerns.
• Maintain and protect company quality standards by performing work tasks with a quality mindset.
• Protect and maintain confidentiality concerning any and all proprietary information, data, and other related trade secrets.
• Perform assigned tasks using standard operating procedures or instruction from team leader and/or management.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for inventory, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, postage meter, and electronic inventory control devices.
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Possesses the ability to read and interpret and understand shipping and/or receiving labels, possesses the ability to perform and interpret numerical counting of product.
• Move materials throughout the warehouse as needed by using mobile equipment such as fork trucks, pallets jacks, etc.
• Communicate vital information to management, team leaders, and/or co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person as needed.
• Promote and provide instructional support to newly hired team members or newly positioned team members to perform tasks through coaching, mentoring, or any other means to help improve knowledge and skill.
• Promote teamwork by participating in and encouraging teamwork through the facility through honesty, mutual respect, and trust.
• Track production related information by entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form as specific processes require.
• Promote the continuous improvement mindset by giving ideas for process improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and potential cost savings to team leader and/or management.
• Follow all company policies considered as conditions of employment.

What you will need:

• Certified forklift license / Ability to successfully obtain license.
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with safety programs in manufacturing environment preferred.
