Job summary

DO & CO Group is seeking a Receiving Supervisor in Des Plaines, IL to lead the receiving team, ensure accuracy of invoices and paperwork, and maintain strict food safety and FIFO storage practices. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in food industry receiving, storage, and merchandise handling.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Verify all received merchandise against invoices, POs, and BOLs.
• Ensure receiving paperwork is complete and products meet quality standards.
• Assign internal Julian lot numbers for inbound ingredients to maintain traceability.
• Break down received cases and label components with lot codes.
• Store products using FIFO in all storage areas.
• Organize inventory in dry storage, freezers, and coolers for meat, fish and produce.
• Lead and supervise the receiving team with accurate records.
• Monitor supplier on-time delivery and quality conformity.
• Distribute merchandise internally per food safety and storage requirements, weighing meat and fish deliveries.
• Follow HACCP and food safety standards with proper documentation.
