DO & CO AG in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking a Receiving Supervisor to lead a fast-paced receiving team in our hospitality operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in food industry receiving, storage, and merchandise handling.
• Ability to lift, stand, and work long hours.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Verify all received merchandise against invoices, purchase orders (POs), and bills of lading (BOLs).
• Ensure all required receiving paperwork is complete and that products meet company quality standards.
• Maintain full traceability by assigning internal Julian lot numbers to all inbound edible and ready-to-eat ingredients.
• Break down received cases and label every individual component with the appropriate Julian/internal lot code.
• Store products using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures in all storage areas.
• Properly organize inventory in dry storage, freezers, and designated coolers for meat (Halal and Non-Halal), fish, and produce.
• Lead and supervise the receiving team while maintaining accurate records of all incoming goods.
• Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and compliance with company quality specifications.
• Distribute merchandise internally according to food safety and storage requirements, ensuring all meat and fish deliveries are weighed.
• Follow HACCP and all food safety standards, including FIFO, date marking, proper storage, and completion of receiving documentation.
