Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Receiving and Storage Technician to accurately receive raw materials, pre-batch, and track inventory for our manufacturing process. Rotation across functions and strict safety adherence are essential to meet production and quality standards.

The role operates on a 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 8:00pm–6:30am) with potential bonus eligibility based on performance. Candidates must have forklift or related equipment experience and a valid driver’s license to

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• One year of work experience operating mobile power equipment (lift trucks, tow motors, pallet handling equipment) preferred.
• One year of work experience operating stationary power equipment (palletizers, conveyors, hoists, stackers) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming raw materials to verify accuracy, condition, and specs.
• Identify, document, and report damaged or non-conforming materials.
• Review batch tickets and perform prebatching of raw materials.
• Prebatch materials according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Ensure proper material identification and full traceability.
• Maintain organized, labeled storage locations.
• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Handle dry and liquid raw materials per safety procedures.
• Use floor computer systems to manage inventory data.
• Perform forklift and equipment inspections.
• Apply bonding/grounding procedures during handling.
• Maintain inventory records and documentation.
• Follow inventory control procedures for accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, drum handling, battery systems.
