Job summary

Ollie’s Stores in Athens, GA is seeking a Receiving Specialist to help receive, process, and transfer merchandise from delivery to the sales floor, ensuring smooth stocking and store flow.

You will support pricing, merchandising, and store recovery, while training new Associates and maintaining an organized receiving area. The role requires reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work morning, evenings, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store, and training new Associates.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Overview:

The Receiving Specialist assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The Receiving Specialist is responsible for freight handling, merchandising, maintaining an organized receiving area, and supporting efficient store operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store, and training new Associates.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.
