Job summary

Ollie’s in Bedford, Indiana is hiring a Receiving Specialist to help receive, process, and move merchandise from delivery to the sales floor.

You'll assist with truck receiving, pricing, merchandising, and maintaining an organized receiving area while supporting store operations.

Must have a high school diploma (preferred) and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; a positive team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.

• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Overview:

The Receiving Specialist assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The Receiving Specialist is responsible for freight handling, merchandising, maintaining an organized receiving area, and supporting efficient store operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store, and training new Associates.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.
