Receiving Specialist - Temporary To Hire Position (90 days)
Position Summary
The Receiving Specialist accepts and process deliveries. The responsibilities include verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly. Receiving Specialist will inspect deliveries with great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items.
Primary Responsibilities
Receiving and signing for deliveries, compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
Organize and store received items in appropriate areas, update inventory with received items.
Process and record corresponding transactions in Great Plains system.
Works collaboratively with team to resolve any discrepancies.
Handling returns of miss-shipped or damaged merchandise.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
1-2 years of receiving experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Basic math skills, and the ability to utilize sound judgment and reasoning capabilities to resolve
problems.
Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate, both orally and written, in a professional manner.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 60lbs.
Ability to work and operate a pallet jack.
At times may be required to work outside normal working hours.
