Job summary

Materion is seeking an Associate Receiving & Shipping Supervisor in Buffalo to lead daily Receiving & Shipping activities, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, material movement, and storage of packaging and indirect materials. This hands-on supervisory role ensures safety, accuracy, and on-time shipments.

You will direct employees, monitor workflow, coach and train, enforce SOPs and safety requirements, support continuous improvement, and coordinate with Production, Planning,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in business, supply chain, logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience in receiving, shipping, logistics, material handling, manufacturing or related environment.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience required.
• Experience using an ERP system; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adjust to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Receiving & Shipping activities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely operations.
• Provide day-to-day direction to employees, assign work, communicate priorities, monitor progress.
• Coach, train, and provide feedback to staff; address performance concerns.
• Ensure SOPs, safety requirements, quality standards, trade compliance, and company policies are followed.
• Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service and other departments to support material flow and shipment priorities.
