Reyes Automotive Group in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Receiving & Shipping Material Handler for day shift. This onsite role handles paperwork for receiving, checking in materials, and coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff. Requires 1 year in shipping/receiving and 1 year in a warehouse, with MS Office skills and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of shipping/receiving experience.
• 1 year of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive truck drivers and check in materials.
• Process and release documentation for packing slips in the system.
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, clerks and supervisors.
• Maintain FIFO and stocked materials for production picklists.
• Load/unload materials for shipment and deliver as scheduled.
• Keep receiving/shipping/warehouse area safe and organized.

Job Title: Receiving & Shipping Material Handler

Department: Production Control - 2025 - Baja

Reports To: Receiving & Warehousing Supervisor

Vacancy: 1 for Day shift for at Applewhite location for day shift hours 7:45am - 4:30pm with mandatory OT (weekends are possible)- added 8/6/2026

Job Summary

This position is responsible for filling out paperwork used in the receiving area and packing slips of material received. This includes communications with customers, team members at both plants, and truck drivers. Duties include recording, checking, picklist, forklift, pallet jack and stocking materials at both plants and warehouse.

Main Duties And Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)

• Receive truck drivers and check in materials


• Administer and release documentation in a timely manner to the receiving clerk so the packing slips can be entered accordingly into system


• Effective communication (verbal and written) with customers, deliver drivers, clerk, lead and supervisor for any material issues


• Ensure warehouse and plants are FIFO and stocked of material needed for production picklist.


• Load and unload customer material for shipment as needed


• Deliver materials according to schedule


• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the receiving/ shipping/warehouse area.


• Adhere to EHS and company policies, and standard work expectations


• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.


• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Experience

• 1 year of related experience in Shipping and Receiving.


• 1 year of warehouse experience.

Familiarity with Packing slips/ Forklift/pallet jack preferred.

• Beginner to Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and in the use of e-mail, web browser applications.

Physical Requirements

• 75% of the time will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position, while the remaining 25% will be filling out paperwork


• Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds


• Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
