Job summary

Bendix, part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, Huntington, Indiana, is seeking a Quality Technician (Receiving) for the 2nd shift. This on-site role inspects and verifies incoming materials to ensure they meet company quality standards and engineering specifications, supporting production and maintaining accurate quality records.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write and comprehend work instructions, communications, policies, job safety analysis.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Must be able to reason, analyze and troubleshoot issues on the job.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving inspections as required by SAP & sampling plans.
Create Q2 notifications as required for non-conforming material.
Process and expedite Q2s and interface with planners to report and resolve material quality issues.
Stock checks to support customer claims as needed.
Provide quality support to all areas of the plant on an as needed basis.
Perform first piece inspections to support production requirements for all manufacturing areas, when needed.
