Job summary

Valley Iron Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a Receiving Shift/Warehouse Worker to support will-call orders, stocking, and unloading delivery trucks. You will operate in a fast-paced yard, handling multiple product lines and coordinating with the supervisor and sales team.

Responsibilities include pulling stock, verifying documentation, color-coding products, and safe loading/unloading of equipment. The role requires 2 years forklift/crane experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2 years forklift/crane operation experience.

• Excellent communication/organizational skills.
• Knowledge of carbon, stainless and aluminum products.
• Chop saw and torch cutting experience.
• Able to work in changing work environment daily.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock as needed.
• Rotate jobs frequently.
• Inspect and identify material and related documentation as prescribed by the purchase order/sales order.
• Properly color code all product in accordance with company policy.
• Unload and load trucks safely and efficiently using company provided equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Stocking all material on the yard while sorting sold materials.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area (multiple warehouses).
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with supervisor, clerk, and sales team.
• Comply with all safety guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned.
