Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. in Pineville, LA is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to oversee the receiving area, ensuring freight flows smoothly to the sales floor and that merchandise is processed accurately according to standards.

You will supervise associates, maintain back stock, handle damaged goods to minimize profit loss, and occasionally serve as Manager on Duty, opening or closing the store as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.
