Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Receiving Lead to verify inbound shipments, direct truck drivers, and maintain accurate records. You will work with the receiving team to ensure quantities match manifests and purchase orders, and you will assist with dock and office tasks as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and hands-on experience with MHE equipment. Steel-toed shoes are required, and safety policies must be followed.

Qualifications

• Specialized Knowledge : Knowledgeable of inbound procedures and experience working as a Backhaukler/Unloader and/or Receiver
• Special Skills : Read, write, operate MHE equipment (pallet jack), other required materials handling equipment (MHE), effective communication skills, team player, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills, Comfortable using technology
• Physical abilities: : You will be constantly seeing, hearing, sitting and handling paperwork. Occasionally, you will be standing, walking, driving, bending, twisting feeling, reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, and gripping items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.
• Other: : Steel Toed shoes are required; Compliance with all company policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Enter purchase order receipts into computer system and print receiving tags for use by Receivers
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for delivery of materials
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
• Assist Supervisor with varied office and dock responsibilities including filing
