Job summary

AKG in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Receiving Associate to manage inbound shipments at the receiving dock. Responsibilities include unloading and logging inventory, verifying product accuracy, and updating systems to reflect arrivals. The role ensures inventory accuracy and a clean, safe warehouse environment.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reliability, and good communication in a team setting. NetSuite and Excel familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically capable of lifting and performing warehouse tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Warehouse/receiving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and handheld scanners; NetSuite and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks at the receiving dock.
• Log inbound shipments, including returns and RMAs.
• Verify incoming product using reference tools and company website for accuracy.
• Receive and process purchase orders in WMS with 24-hour turnaround.
• Perform inventory put away and consolidation of items.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks.
