Job summary

White Cap is hiring a Receiving Associate for an on-site role in Portland, Oregon. You will receive, count, and store items, and coordinate with purchasing to manage shortages while ensuring accurate records and proper stock handling.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to grow within a stable, expanding company. Prior forklift experience and knowledge of construction products are a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in related role.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Experience with sales order software, preferably Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and stores items.
• Records receiving data using a computer and company software.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items properly and accurately.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.
• Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.
• Delivers products, supplies and equipment to the correct designated area.
• Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery.
• Files purchase orders correctly based on company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.
