Job summary

White Cap in California is seeking a Receiving Associate to work on-site, receiving, counting, and storing inventory while recording data in our company systems. You will ensure proper packing and labeling, assist in resolving shipping issues, and collaborate with purchasing to address shortages.

Gain exposure to a fast-paced operations team and contribute to ongoing stock accuracy. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of experience, forklift experience preferred, and knowledge of construction

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in receiving/stocking or related role.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products is a plus.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus regarding communication with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and stores items.
• Records receiving data using a computer and company software.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items properly and accurately.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.
• Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.
• Delivers products, supplies and equipment to the correct designated area.
• Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery.
• Files purchase orders correctly based on company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.
