Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role receives shipments, processes purchase orders, verifies inventory, sorts freight, and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of related experience, are comfortable with computers and scanners, and can work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor data.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with store inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and stocking.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
