Job summary

Rhoads Industries, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our growing Quality team at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.

You will inspect incoming materials, verify conformity to drawings and purchase orders, and document findings to support production readiness. Responsibilities include nonconforming material handling, NCR initiation, and cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years of quality inspection or receiving inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO or similar Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency with ERP or quality tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and components to verify conformance to drawings and purchase orders.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calibrated tools.
• Review Certificates of Conformance, MTRs, and related documentation for accuracy.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials and initiate NCRs.
• Coordinate disposition decisions with Quality and Purchasing teams.
• Maintain inspection records per ISO 9001 and company procedures.
• Support audits and drive continuous improvement in receiving inspection.
