Job summary

Metalforms is seeking a Receiving Inspector in Beaumont, TX to unload, inspect, process, and deliver material as directed by the Material Manager. The role involves inventory duties, packing and shipping orders, and supporting other areas as needed.

The position blends office tasks with physical shop work, requiring forklift use, attention to material traceability, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of applicable experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or Quality Control.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
• College Preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and distribute all paperwork associated with the delivery of incoming goods and materials.
• Stock, retrieve, distribute and inventory warehouse consumables.
• Interact with delivery personnel as well as company personnel.
• Perform Inspection of incoming materials.
• Unloading of delivery trucks utilizing forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Identify material issues and work with the Material Manager to resolve them.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work with a team.
• Knowledge of materials and products used in a fabrication shop.
• Knowledge of Material Traceability Reports.
• This position is a mixture of office work and physical shop work.
• Frequent bending, squatting, climbing (less than 5 feet), and lifting (up to 50lb) is required.
