Job summary

Metrix Instruments in Houston is seeking a temporary Receiving Inspector for an approximate four-to-six month assignment. The role involves receiving incoming materials, performing initial quality inspections, and handling administrative tasks in our ERP system (IFS).

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of receiving/inspection experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with basic measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in receiving and inspection of manufactured and purchased parts.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience using general measurement equipment (height gauges, calipers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Place incoming material into Arrived Status in ERP (IFS).
• Verify part quantity matches PO quantity.
• Inspect parts to Engineering documents or specifications including First Article Inspections.
• Receive purchase orders into the ERP system once parts are verified to be acceptable.
