Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Receiving Inspector to evaluate PWB’s, connectors, electrical components, and standard fabricated parts against engineering drawings and workmanship standards.

You will review purchase orders, Certificates of Compliance, reject reports, and AS9102 first article data to ensure supplier qualification and accurate documentation; work in a manufacturing environment with lifting and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic mechanical inspection tools; familiarity with Word, Excel, and Oracle; ability to work with all levels of management and suppliers.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility: May require access to Controlled Data; ITAR constraints; US Persons only.

Responsibilities

• Verify product compliance of standard fabricated parts (pins, terminals, standoffs, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, sleeves) using calipers, gauges, and similar measuring tools.
• Review Purchase Order/receipt traveler paperwork for completeness and accuracy, including Certificates of Compliance.
• Review rejection reports and document discrepancies, causes, and corrective action; identify problem areas.
• Review supplier First Article Reports per AS9102 requirements and audit characteristics for accuracy.
• Ensure supplier is approved for the product type; write Non-conformance Reports when parts are rejected and escalate as needed.

Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics! **Job Summary:**The Receiving Inspector evaluates a variety of products such as PWB’s, connectors, electrical components, and standard fabricated parts for conformance against engineering drawings, workmanship standards, Source Control drawings and specification drawings. **Essential Functions:*** Verify product compliance of standard fabricated parts, such as pins, terminals, standoffs, nuts, bolts, screws, washers and sleeves for proper dimensions, finish, corrosion, damage or other similar conditions using calipers, thread gages, micro-hite, and other appropriate measuring instruments or similar complexity* Review all paperwork required by the Purchase Order/receipt traveler for completeness and accuracy, including Certificate of Compliance meets all of the required specification requirements* Review any rejection reports on previously received parts/materials. Note discrepancies, stated causes, and corrective action. Use this information to indicate possible problem areas.* Review supplier first article reports for completeness per AS9102 requirements and audit several characteristics to substantiate accuracy* Ensure Supplier is approved for the type of product being received per the Supplier Type List* Write Non-conformance Reports if parts are rejected and elevate to Preliminary Review board or Material Review board when necessary **Minimum Qualifications:*** **Experience:** At least 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.* **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** Knowledge of basic mechanical Inspection tools. Familiarity with PC Sills, including Word, Excel, and Oracle. Ability to work effectively with team members and communicate with suppliers and all levels of Management* **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent* **Eligibility Requirement:** *This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
